The spatula is very well balanced. The tongs have a particularly good grip for turning large pieces of meat such as a tritip roast.
I thought by purchasing the genuine Weber product I would get a quality item.Too bad it is not made in the USA like the Baby Q grill which works very well.2 pushes with this brush and 3-4 tufts of brass wire fell out.I lightly pulled on a couple of others tufts and they came right out.A waste of money...straight to the garbage.Weber should be embarrassed to sell an item like this.Does anyone test them?
In theory this is a nice set, and I like all of the different tools -- but I bought this as a gift, and I'm going to return it.It just looks too cheap.The wooden handles are chipped in some places, there's almost no finish on them, and the plastic case is really flimsy and cheap looking.Perhaps if I was buying them for myself I wouldn't mind, but I'd be embarrassed to give this as a gift.
I know, I know -- It's another one of those "As seen on TV" gimmicks.This one really works! I'm a grill nut and I have all the accesories to prove it. This one is Great. I just heat the grill up (a Weber of course)fill the Grill Daddy with water - turn the water knob to on and scrub like you would with any other grill brush. The difference is the water - it works like a steam cleaner. It's like when you de-glaze the bottom of a pan by adding a little water or wine to make a gravy or sauce. The grate is perfectly clean with very little effort. I'm getting one for my brother. Good Grillin'
These Outset 21" tongs are made extremely well out of stainless steel, and keep your hands out of the heat.I would not subject the nice rosewood handles to dishwashers.The locking mechanism is one handed, so they lock and unlock by holding them upside down, etc.
I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He loved it. It is really great because you can bend it, so you can direct it towards your food. I wish now I had bought one for myself.
If you dont have one of these... you should buy 2 of them. Without a doubt the best grilling accessory I have ever bought. No more goof ups...

I bought one of these things ten years ago and despite twice replacing it with big, traditional-looking (and very expensive) grills I keep coming back to this one.In fact, when we bought our latest one at a localfireplace/grill store, the owner just couldn't stop talking about thischeap little grill.He confided to me in a low voice that if I were tolift the lid of his own $2500 home gas barbecue, I'd find this little gemsitting inside because it's all he uses too.
Was not sure beacuse of the price tag, but this product is worth every penny. The tools are solid, and the case was just right. Would surely buy again if needed.
Though this is a portable grill, it is terrific for at home use if you're single, or have a small balcony apartment. It takes very little space, and is easy to maneuver when cleaning time comes.
Perfect tool for grilling fish, fruit and veggies. Very easy to clean. We use a high temp or BBQ grill pre spray to help in keeping foods from sticking and to make cleaning even easier. We were so pleased with this we bought another one and used it as a gift for another avid grilling family member. For the price this item can't be beat. We take extra care in not over heating, so this should last for years. Buy one, take care of it and you will enjoy it !

I cut it to 4 stars simply because it wasn't as I expected.Expected brass and not stainless bristles.It seems that last year Weber changed this to stainless bristles.I called Weber and they told me that but it took a long time on hold and even then they didn't seem too sure.Weber also recommended it not be used on porcelain grates as they didn't trust it.The product description should be changed and the photo to show silver (stainless) bristles.For those that need brass, look elsewhere.

I bought this item for my husband.He loves it!He said the handles are long enough so he doesn't feel the heat from the grill and the spatula lets him easily get the burgers off the grill to flip.
I have used this product several times now and it works great. Instead of looking for matches, I just strike this once and the propane grill is going. I can store it outside where my grill is and I don't worry about it getting moist like matches would.

I bought this as a Father's Day gift and it didn't disappoint. The apron is fairly heavy duty and the pockets are secure.The grilling utensils are decent quality and the oven mitt was nicer than another review had led me to believe.The salt and pepper shakers are smallish, but that's a minor quibble.My grandson enjoyed giving this to his father, and his father really liked it.The tools alone are worth the price, the apron and mitt are just bonuses!
Seems to work well and should last a while.Giving 4 stars because the ties are a pain.In the past I've had ones with velcro and they were easier to use.
This is a great set of tools for the price.I was worried about the gauge of steel and wood.You know i did not want the flimsy type tongs that bend when you pick up ribs...or worse the wood rot off after 2 uses.But these are very sturdy, and the wood is thick they should last a long time. There are grooves in the wood handles that give your fingers and thumb places to sit.They are ergonomically comfortable.i look forward to years of grilling with these
I have the larger Sanyo electric grill and it is great, just a little too big for my kitchen counter.(it is out in my RV, working great)But this baby is just right for my kitchen.
I think these mitts are worth the price, but they are not flawless. Their thumb opening is on the same plane as the rest of the fingers, which is not how we have them aligned in our hands --at least when we are using our hands to grab something. Because they are rather stiff, this makes them a little difficult to use.
Recently the fire marshal forced our condo to ban gas grills. We love our grilled steaks, ribs, and chops and were afraid that we could no longer enjoy them.
Cover fits and looks better than the "black" covers we see. Had a lot of snow this winter, held up well.
cover is very thick, its more of a cloth material so it won't rip like the cheap vinyl ones. I also like the color. Even though its cloth-like, it is waterproof and ties securely to the grill on the sides. Only downfall, the color is light so when it gets dirty its very noticeable and its easy to get dirty. It does clean easily thougj.
I bought this for my bf for a christmas gift.He likes to bbq on a little propane grill. I guess I should have read the measurements of the tools. They are more suited for a huge grill. But its better than them being tiny. Good quality build. Might want to buy a nicer package to put them in if giving as a gift.
I happened upon the "Talking Wirless Grill Thermometor ("TWGT")in Lowes $29). Being a gadget guy I could not pass it up. Got it home, put in the batteries and it worked perfectly. It immediately measured room temp within 1 degree of my digital room thermometer.I Cooked "Beercan Chicken" on the patio grill that weekend. Put the probe into the thigh as directed and placed the base unit on my kitchen counter about 40 feet away. Opened a cold beer and watched the info on the base unit as I prepared other food in the kitchen. No need to periodically go out to the grill and check the chicken. Instead I watched football and the unit as it measured temp up and up. When it was time, it told me "It's almost done."Headed to the patio when the unit told me "It's done". The TWGT worked great. I was so impressed I went and bought a second one to give as a gift.
My wife and I wanted a new grill for tailgating at Miami Dolphins games this year. I am somewhat of a home gourmet and I am extremely particular of my cooking accouterments. After reading countless reviews on many different sites we narrowed it down to the Weber Q and the Coleman Roadtrip LXE. We went to Outdoor World here in Fort Lauderdale and actually looked at both as they had floor models available. We chose the Roadtrip based on it's modular ease of set-up and take down (I've never seen anything easier), the high 20,000 BTU output and the dual burner set-up, none of which the Weber Q had unless you purchased the top of the line Weber which was more than double the price in order to get dual burners and the higher BTU's. The Weber Q stand seemed much flimsier also.
This is one appliance that lives up to every one of the manufacturer's claims.I follow directions and spray the grill surface with cooking spray and put half a cup of water in the pan below, and the grill really is, as advertised, smokeless and extremely easy to clean.I like the adjustable grill temperature, a feature I'm not used to since my faithful antique Farberware, now deceased, had only two settings, namely "plugged in and on" or "unplugged and off".The Sanyo cooks everying in half the time the old grill did, and without cabinet-endangering flareups. I particularly like the enormous cooking surface since I'm regularly cooking for 5 adults and a child and with this grill I can cook for all of us at once.The dimensions make it easy to store if you set it vertically rather than horizontally.The appliance is so low in height that I set mine on a silicone countertop protector, but I'm not sure this is really necessary.My only complaint is that there is no surrounding rim to keep your hamburgers from sliding right off the grill when you try to flip them over, but using a second spatula as a backstop solves that problem.This grill is a terrific bargain even at the suggested retail price; at the current Amazon price it's even more terrific.
We've owned one too many grill tool sets.The ones I remember are: a gigantic wooden set where the tools were heavy, awkward, and the wood was rotting and worn.The 2nd set was worse: we got metal but it had so many joints that recently it fell apart while grilling!So I was in the market for a good brand, all metal SOLID construction (no seams), dishwasher safe, and lastlyand least important attractive isn't bad.I searched local stores and they had so little stock, mostly wood sets which I wanted to avoid.
