I bought one of these for lighting candles around the house.Boy was I dissapointed.I used it for maybe 40 lightings and then it wouldn't light anymore.When I squeezed the trigger I could still hear the butane, which was more than 2/3 full, but it wouldn't light.I took it apart and found out that the plastic nib that pressed the sparking element had broken, so that even though I had gas, there was no possible way to make a spark.
So I tried another.The first problem with this one was the gas-adjuster knob.It wouldn't turn properly.Then I started having problems with a hit and miss lighting.Turns out I had similar problems.The nib for the sparking element had bent, so it didn't always press it all the way in.And the gear that the gas-adjuster knob was stripped.
All in all, this seems to be poorly made, and I would suggest another brand.
*****Final Thoughts*****
This is a badly made product.I bought two, both broke.There is a consistent problem with the sparking element failure.The plastic is pretty flimsy, and I would suggest moving on.Nothing to see here.
