Nature's Cuisine NC006 Cedar/Alder Combo Outdoor Grilling Planks, Set of 4 Review

So far I have used one of each type of wood. The cedar adds a bit more flavor to fish than the alder does, however the alder seems to char less than the cedar does. Both are great for grilling your fish, I have not tried it on other types of meat. One tip though, ensure that the wood is not over any part of your flame or you will burn the plank. I soaked them for at least 4 hours prior to their use, so they were saturated. I recommend these to any grilled fish lover, it adds a very unique flavor to the fish - yum!

Outset F717 Assorted Wood Planks for Grilling, Set of 6 Review

It's probably that I just need to pay better attention, but there are only 6 planks (all the same size) in the pack.I duped myself by believing the picture.

Other than that, I really liked these planks.It's hard to find anything but cedar where I live, so the different flavors were very nice.(And if you've never cooked with wood planks before, don't believe you can only cook salmon on them.They add a great flavor to whatever you're grilling.Visit a local bookstore and look through a plank cooking cookbook for different ideas.)

I was really happy with the flavor of these six (6) planks.

Charbroil Cedar Planks Review

The description doesnt not mention quantity in the package.There are only 2 planks.These are disposable, 1 time use only.I soaked the plank in water for over 24 hours, grilled the salmon on low over indirect heat and the plank got so burned we were not able to reuse it.
