I miss my little, old weber!This Meco 2000 has no vent holes in the bottom, no lower grill on which to rest the coals, & no LID!!I thought it would be a larger version of the little weber but it's not.Unfortunately, I was very disappointed & should have just bought another weber.

Landmann 610101 Portable Tabletop Charcoal Grill Review

As far as the actual grilling process goes, this little baby works pretty good.It seems to grill things pretty evenly.It is compact and very easy to carry around.

My biggest complaints is with the physical contruction of the grill lid.The lid only opens 90 degrees straight up.If you use lighter fluid (like me) when starting your briquettes, the flames can really heat up the lid.By the time the briquettes are ready though, the lid has cooled to just "very warm" though, so the handle can be touched without fear of burning yourself.So, I can live with this.I'm not sure why they didnt make the lid fold back 180 degrees though.

Secondly, the nuts & bolts that hold the lid to the base are fitted quite loosely.I think this was somewhat on purpose to allow the lid to easily lift up and down.However, they were way too loose for me.The lid wobbled considerably when raising or lowering it.Since I am kind of handy, I got out some tools and tightened the bolts up.This was a pain in the you-know-what though because it was in very close quarters.

If you can look past these lid shortcomings, I think its a nice little grill.I'd actually give it 3.5 stars if I could.3 stars for the contruction and 4 for the grilling ability.

Weber 616002 Char Q Portable Charcoal Grill Review

I was a little unsure if this type of grill would work with charcoal, but it does.The spacing between the grill and the charcoal is a little close for my liking.You have to keep a close eye on the food so that it will not burn.The food taste great because of that charcoal flavor that a propane grill just would not give.Now the problem, it makes a mess.Cleaning the bottom of the grill is a pain.You can not clean it a 100%.It leaves a little bit of the burn charcoal at the bottom.Also, the handles are a little "weak" for the weight of the grill in my opinion.Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the grill, but I wish it didn't have the problems that it has for the price that it cost.

Marsh Allen 717HH-1 Golding Charcoal Grill Review

This is not a heavy duty item.However, it does have a convenient design to fold up relatively flat to stick in a car trunk or back of an SUV which makes it great for tailgatilng at concerts or sporting events. I also like the height of the grill, you don't have to get down on your knees cooking on a hibachi on the ground, or bring some other table for your grill. I repeat, excellant design for tailgating, which is what I bought it for.

Marsh Allen 30052 Cast Iron Hibachi 10 by 18-Inch Charcoal Grill Review

Packaged with four left legs (requires two left, two right)

One briquette grate is smaller than the other and falls to bottom as a result.

Had to drill / elongate hole to install grate support bracket

Paint on handles started to run when I handled them with wet hands. I tried to rinse off the remaining paint or ink under running water so that it will not continue to bleed off. What paint do you know of that rinses off under plain water?

Right cast iron grate cracked when it came in contact with heat.

The design and construction of this product shows clear disregard for the consumer and is absolutely unacceptable at any price. I have to question at this point weather or not the paint used on the grill and grates is toxic or lead based. I've come across my share of junk but this is really bad!
