I bought these straws as a gift for my boyfriend. He has an aversion to plastic and this was a great idea to help him enjoy milkshakes and frozen Starbucks drinks (without spilling them on himself). The only complaint I have is that the hole in the straws are a little on the small side, so drinking thicker items can be difficult at times. They came wrapped clumsily in newspaper, which I found a little off-putting, but that might be a bit of the snob in me.
