Calphalon One Nonstick 11-Inch Square Grill Pan Review

I got this to supplement my Calphalon Professional square grill.I use this one when preparing barbecue with high sugar marinades and sauces.

First of all, unlike a lot of nonstick pans, you can get this grill very hot. This produces authentic looking grill marks and that sought after smoky taste.However, even the stickiest, most burned on remnants come off with a soak and a wipe.

I also use this pan to grill more delicate, crumbly meats like hamburgers, crab cakes, and fillets of fish.These may still crumble, but at least it won't be the pans fault. For plain grilling of steaks and chops, I still prefer hot, bare metal to nonstick.

The best thing about this pan, though, is the price.50 bucks is very reasonable for a professional piece of cookware.It's also important to note that Calphalon nonstick grills are top rated by Cook's Illustrated magazine.

Outset QN71 Copper Nonstick Large 17" x 11" Grill Grid with Handles Review

Appeared to be a solid grill topper upon arrival. Outset even has a nice website describing their products (unlike many other brands). Outset even advertised their other products with the same copper coating with good reviews from some food magazine. Upon first use, I was very surprised to see it warped under moderate heat (350F). After it cooled down, it bent back in shape.It was fairly easy to clean after 1st use. Then with 2nd grilling, the food started to stick terribly. I was unable to clean the charcoal mess left on the grill topper. I even left it soaked in soapy water overnight, and was still unable to clean it easily afterwards. I tried to use regular soft dish washing scrubber to clean off the charcoal mess, then discovered some of the nonstick copper-tone "double coat" silicone coating came off! I trashed this piece of junk, as I don't want my family risk eating this non-stick silicone stuff! One of the worst purchases ever! I plan to get a plain stainless steel grill topper next time. It may not be easy to clean, but I can at least use some heavy duty scrubber on it and not worry about any type of nonstick coating coming off...

Outset QN79, Grill wok w/handles (copper color/nonstick/square/12x12") Review

We have used this item to grill shrimp, scallops, and vegetables.All turned out great.Clean-up may require a short soaking in warm water to loosen any stuck on food.After that, a soft scrubbie with soap will do it.This item does NOT go in the dishwasher.Also, always use a nylon scrubbie, not steel wool.You sometimes need a little "elbow grease" with burnt food.I plan on spraying a very lite coating of Pam for the Grill next time and that will probably take care of the problem.

Outset QT59 Stella Stainless Steel Slotted Fish Spatula Review

You will never regret you spent money on this one! It will serve you for ever and take any abuse from flame cooking you can think of. I had a bad experience with BBQ utensils made with plastic and wood handles: they crack, melt, break off. I switched to utensils made entirely of metal: my boys are very tough on utensils when cooking in the backyard.
