This is a great meat pounder. Unlike hammers, which concentrate too much force into a small area and pulverize the meat, this device spreads out the force and can flatten a piece of meat quickly and evenly. The silicone coating may also help to spread the force somewhat, but it is very nice on the handle, providing a good grip. All in all, a well-balanced tool that is perfect for the job.

Very nice tongs. Silicone tip doesn't burn when touching blazing hot grates on my Lynx grill. It loses one star because the lock action could be a bit smoother. Sometimes the tongs don't open as quickly as I would like. I will probably buy a couple more, though.

These tongs are fantastic and hold up well to a strong grip. The red one is marked "Raw" and the green one is marked "Cooked". They also clean easily. The only thing to improve would be if each on was a different size to give you more versitility.

Kingsford KSS41 Carolina Basting Brush with Silicone Bristles Review

Our previous brush kept losing bristles and was very messy to clean. The silicone bristles on the Kingsford Carolina brush, on the other hand, stay firmly on the brush. They also hold oil or marinade well, and are simple to clean. The length of the handle is also critical.
