At 20 bucks or less, this is quite a good bargain. Multiple ways to mount it, it is plenty bright enough and the neck is actually almost too long. I keep mine curled a little. I'm quite sure this would work fine on even the larger grills. I don' understand the previous reviewer that pretty much says good things and then gives it one star. It is well built and does exactly what it says very well. Don't guess at it in the dark, get one of these!

Brinkmann 810-5304-4 Smoke'N Grill Electric Smoker and Grill, Stainless Steel Review

It's really a pretty smoker...but I don't know if it works or not...there are missing parts.

This must be a common problem for Brinkman...as they have in bold lettering, "for missing parts, call customer service at 1-800-xxx-xxxx).I've called the number several times.They should call it "customer dis-service", because you don't talk to anyone, you listen to some recordings, punch in your telephone number, and they'll call you back when they get around to it. It's been over a day and I've not heard anything.I hope that when/if they do call, I'm not in the shower or otherwise occupied.

If/when I get the call, I'll edit my review.I hope i get those parts before Thanksgiving...i was planning on smoking a turkey.

UPDATE:I finally received a call...but of course I was in the shower and couldn't take it.They left a voicemail suggesting I visit their website which I had already done and found no help.I looked up their corporate number on the 'net.The receptionist put me through to customer service...supposedly on hold with a live person.As I was waiting, I received an e-mail stating the missing parts would be mailed tomorrow.No "I'm sorry for your inconvienence" or anything.

I wonder if Brinkmann's CEO ever reads these?or their shareholders?I believe I'd want to know if my customer service team was failing.

Medina River Outdoors 68 Big Daddy Double Smoker Review

I ordered the big daddy hoping to get some serious smoking done and boy did I.I really liked the way it came packed everything was perfect, no major dents or scratches.I am able to put about 7 racks of baby backs in the main chamber and 9 in the chimney. I have used this about 7 times now and each time my food comes out perfect.If I had any complaints it would be placing the thermometer in the middle of the main chamber instead of next to the firebox.I also would have liked better directions.I didn't realize I needed to spray it down with PAM and burn it in for a few hours to season the unit but boy am I glad I did. If you do not plan on doing allot of slow smoking then you can get the unit with just the firebox and the main chamber and skip the big daddy's price.

Medina River Outdoors 65 Patio Small Smoker/Gilll Combo Review

Upon unpacking the legs did not fit due to the collars being smashed during shipment. This was not a big deal and was easy fixed. Then I started assembling the grill and noticed that the handle was not level with the grill. Once assembled it was about a half inch out of level. The front meat shelve on the outside of the grill hung down about two inches out of level and would not hold a tray of food without it sliding off. Last but not least the top grill in the burner box would not sit level. The last three items could not be fixed without the use of some cutting tools and a welder. I thought for a second that I should fix it and move on. I later decided to just send it back.

Char Broil Silver Smoker Review

If you're looking to get your first smoker, look no further.Since it's a horizontal-style smoker, it can also double as a BBQ pit/charcoal grill.Plenty of room, very versatile.Treat it well and it will give you a decade of use.

The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because of the thickness of the metal.If it were a little thicker, there would be much more heat retention.You can buy smokers with 1/4"+ thickness, but expect to pay at least $600.

This is easily the best smoker in its price range.

Make sure you season the inside of the smoker similar to how you would season a cast iron pan.As with any smoker, before use, paint the interior of the smoker with shortening or vegetable oil, then start up the smoker and let it smoke for a couple or few hours.

Also, you should almost always keep the chimney vent all the way open.Use the intake vent on the firebox for temperature control.

Bradley BCOLD Smoker Cold Smoke Adapter Review

Cold smoker is a Bradley attachment that takes the place of cardboard boxes and many other configurations set up by Bradley Smoker users. Box is made from heavy steel and has convenient door for water tray. Connects well without much leaking to generator and cabinet. Included is a resistor that allows the generator to be disconnected from the cabinet when using the digital model. The hose (duct) could be a bit heavier. It is pretty fragile but does bend without any problem. You just need to be careful while bending or you'll kink it. Does not appear to be standard dryer vent hose. It's about 1/4" bigger to accommodate the end plates. I would give it five stars with a better duct.

Brinkmann 810-7080-6 Gourmet Electric Smoker and Grill, Black Review

I ordered this item for my parents and had it sent directly to their house.After they had it mostly assembled, they realized the grill top has a dent in it and the water pan is dented and looks like it has been re-painted in places.Overall, the grill is still functional, but I am very disappointed to receive a damaged item (obviously not shipping damage) that was sold as NEW but looks more to be a fefurb..

Brinkmann 852-7080-V Gourmet Charcoal Smoker and Grill with Vinyl Cover, Black Review

I have used mine a couple of times now and have to say that the smoky flavor and easy use are the main selling points on this product.The cleaning is not too bad, just a little bit of elbow grease to get some of the smoke and grime off the water pan and grates.

For my birthday, my brother was kind enough to order a smoker off my Amazon wishlist. I finally got a nice day and good piece of meat to try it out. I have to say I was totally impressed. I was impressed that I didn't burn off my eyebrows (even though it was close). I was impressed that the simplistic heat guage's ideal, really meant ideal. I was shocked by the quality of meat to come forth. Overall it rocked. So, picked up a pork tenderloin that I did a dry rub of

* Sea salt
* lemon pepper
* cayenne pepper
* garlic powder

on to the roughly 1.25 lbs of pork. I filled the water pan with a bunch of water, 4 cloves of garlic and a dash of port. I used some mesquite chips (thoroughly soaked) as my smoking agent and let it cook for 2 hours. The piece of meat came of with the most amazing flavor that I could imagine.

Charbroil Hickory Wood Chips, 2 Pound Bag Review

I find this real convenient for the occasional smokeout. Ok so I may not be an avid Q'er but these chips release their essence over a pretty long period when soaked long enough. Because they are chips, my preheat time is a lot less than logs or chunks. I usually soak in lukewarm water for 10 minutes or half hour in cold water and put em in little home-made al-foil packets with holes. The warm water actually softens the wood more so the smoke is long and slow. Really great on ribs and poultry. So good am now a repeat buyer.
